Temporary Closures
• Cades Cove Loop Road will be closed to automobile traffic until 10:00 AM every Wednesday and Saturday morning from May 7 through September 24 to allow pedestrians and bicyclists to enjoy the cove.
• Little River Road is scheduled to be closed May 12-19 from the Townsend Wye to Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area. Traffic will be routed to US-321 through Pigeon Forge and on to the Spur. Maps of the reroute will be available in park visitor centers to assist travelers during this closure. Additional information including map of detour route.
• The road across Fontana Dam is closed to vehicle traffic.
Please note that US-441 (Newfound Gap Road) between Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC may be subject to closure at night in winter due to refreezing of water on the road surface at high elevation.
